1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

Webling Studio, LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe that everyone should have equal access to information and functionality on the web, regardless of ability.

We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and to ensure it meets or exceeds applicable standards. This is an ongoing effort, and we continually strive to improve the user experience for all visitors.

1.1 Our Approach

Our approach to accessibility includes:

  • Designing with accessibility in mind from the beginning
  • Following established accessibility standards and best practices
  • Testing with assistive technologies when possible
  • Gathering and acting on feedback from users with disabilities
  • Providing training and resources to our team on accessibility
  • Regularly reviewing and improving our accessibility practices

1.2 Client Projects

Beyond our own website, we design and build accessible solutions for our clients. When engaged for web development projects, we:

  • Discuss accessibility requirements during project planning
  • Recommend accessibility best practices aligned with project goals and budgets
  • Implement solutions following WCAG 2.1 guidelines when specified
  • Provide guidance on maintaining accessibility for client-managed content

2. Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

2.1 Current Status

Our Goal: Webling Studio is working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance for our website. We believe this represents a reasonable and responsible target for a small business website.

Current Assessment: Our website implements many WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, but we have not completed a formal third-party accessibility audit. We have conducted internal reviews and testing with available tools, and we continue to identify and address accessibility issues.

2.2 Honest Assessment

As a small business, we acknowledge that:

  • We have not undergone formal third-party accessibility certification
  • Some accessibility issues may exist that we have not yet identified
  • We are committed to addressing reported issues promptly
  • We view accessibility as an ongoing journey, not a one-time destination

3. Accessibility Features

Our website includes the following accessibility features:

3.1 Semantic HTML Structure

  • Proper heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3, etc.) for logical content structure
  • Semantic HTML5 elements (header, nav, main, article, footer)
  • Landmark regions for screen reader navigation
  • Descriptive page titles for each page

3.2 Keyboard Navigation

  • All interactive elements are keyboard accessible
  • Logical tab order throughout the site
  • Visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation
  • Skip-to-content link for keyboard users
  • No keyboard traps that prevent navigation

3.3 Visual Design

  • Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Information not conveyed by color alone
  • Responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels
  • Readable text with appropriate font sizes and line spacing
  • Sufficient spacing between interactive elements

3.4 Images and Media

  • Alternative text for informative images
  • Decorative images properly marked to be ignored by screen readers
  • SVG graphics with appropriate titles and descriptions
  • Videos will include captions when implemented

3.5 Forms and Interactions

  • Clear labels for all form inputs
  • Associated labels and inputs for screen readers
  • Error messages that are clear and helpful
  • ARIA labels and descriptions where appropriate
  • Form validation messages announced to screen readers

3.6 Links and Navigation

  • Descriptive link text (avoiding "click here" or "read more")
  • Clear indication of the current page in navigation
  • Consistent navigation structure across the site
  • External links clearly indicated

4. Known Limitations

In the interest of transparency, we acknowledge the following limitations:

4.1 Areas for Improvement

  • Third-Party Content: Some embedded third-party content (if present) may not be fully accessible, as we do not control its implementation
  • Complex Interactions: Some interactive components may require additional testing and refinement
  • PDF Documents: Some downloadable documents (if present) may not be fully accessible; we are working to remediate these
  • Historical Content: Older content created before our accessibility commitment may not meet current standards; we are reviewing and updating as we identify issues

4.2 Browser and Technology Support

Our website is designed to work with:

  • Modern web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge - current and previous major version)
  • Common screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
  • Mobile devices with assistive technology enabled

While we test with common configurations, we cannot guarantee optimal experience with all possible combinations of browsers, assistive technologies, and device types.

5. Ongoing Efforts and Improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. We are actively working to improve accessibility through:

5.1 Regular Testing

  • Automated accessibility testing as part of development workflow
  • Manual testing with keyboard navigation

5.2 Continuous Learning

  • Staying informed about accessibility standards and best practices
  • Learning from user feedback and reported issues
